Spira is built on a foundation of professional architectural experience, with roots in the aged healthcare sector.

It was through this specialised work that I developed a passion for meaningful design - recognising that details like appropriate visual contrast are not just regulatory requirements but vital tools for dignity and independence.

I established Spira to unlock the potential of these tools. I am incredibly excited by the future of aged care in the UK and bring a wealth of innovative and strategic experience to the table.

My aim is to facilitate the construction of truly inclusive environments, ensuring that design innovation is always underpinned by a robust commercial strategy.

Aged Healthcare: Care Room

We designed a premium care room that redefined expectations for aged healthcare. Working closely with a diverse group of stakeholders, we took time to understand their priorities and aspirations for the space. The result was a new room product that balances clinical functionality with resident comfort, delivered within a controlled budget, ensuring both operational efficiency and commercial viability.

Design Advisory: All Saints Church

We acted as client-side consultants for a church project, supporting the client while another architectural firm executed the works. Our role was to guide decision-making, select finishes, and review drawings, ensuring every detail aligned with the client’s vision, providing confidence, reducing risk, and keeping the project on track.

Commercial Design Guidelines

We partnered with a large commercial client to bring structure and clarity to their fit-out design process. By developing catalogues of products, specifications, and written guidelines, we streamlined delivery and improved consistency, creating a framework that supports repeatable success and operational efficiency across all future projects.

Commercial Masterplanning Direction

We collaborated with a large commercial client to shape a future design direction at a masterplanning scale. By benchmarking their offer against competitors, conducting in-depth market research, and identifying missed opportunities, we developed a masterplan concept that aligns their aspirations with long-term goals to give them a clear framework for investment, growth, and stronger market positioning.

Co-Working Fit-Out

We delivered a premium fit-out for a co-working space, incorporating a café, reception, events area, and open-plan work zones. The client came to us with a clear vision, and we translated it into a cohesive design that elevates the user experience and strengthens the brand’s presence in a competitive market.

Reception Atrium Concept

We partnered with an international client to develop concept proposals for a key reception atrium within one of their buildings. By engaging stakeholders with agility and clarity, we delivered a unifying concept that streamlined decision-making and provided a practical solution, ready for efficient delivery without compromising quality.
